Renowned Pianist Teresa Walters in Washington

“Acclaimed classical pianist Teresa Walters performs a commemorative concert entitled “500th Birthday Party” at 6 p.m. March 18 at Westminster Church, 2531 Hoyt Avenue in Everett.  The concert celebrates the Quincentennial of the Reformation and includes music by Liszt, Bach-Busoni, St. Francis of Assisi and others.  The public is cordially invited to the concert and a Meet the Artist Reception immediately following. 

Teresa Walters is widely recognized to be one of the world’s most esteemed pianists. She has played Carnegie Hall, Beijing’s Forbidden City Concert Hall, Moscow’s Great Hall, and the famed concert halls of Europe.  Her Lincoln Center concert in New York City drew a standing ovation from a capacity crowd.  She has been a recitalist and orchestral soloist on six continents and in most of the 50 states.  Teresa is considered one of the finest interpreters of Franz Liszt performing and recording today.  She holds an earned doctorate from the Peabody Conservatory of Music and is considered by The New York Times “The International First Lady of Piano.”
